LA County to Adopt Green Zone Ordinance

Los Angeles County moves closer to implementing one of the most comprehensive regulations in the country aimed at improving public health and land use compatibility in communities that bear a disproportionate pollution burden. The County Board recently recommended the adoption of and certification of the Final Impact Report for the program with final approval set for July 12, 2022. The program provides a framework for incorporating detailed local environmental data to identify areas that are disproportionately burdened by and vulnerable to multiple types of pollution and health risks.
