UN COP28 Climate Summit Opens at the UAE

The 28th annual Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 28) opened in UAE today and will include two weeks of intense negotiations on addressing the global challenge of climate change. New technology and artificial intelligence will play a prominent role at COP28 with providers presenting their solutions to help countries achieve their emissions goals. The conference comes at a critical time when new data from Climate Trace shows emissions have increased by 8.6% since the Paris Agreement was signed in 2016 and an increase of 1.5% from 2021 to 2022.
